Questions before a bushcraft course
An outdoor course needs a clear description of environment, instruction and responsibilities. Use this checklist before choosing a bushcraft or fieldcraft activity; it does not provide survival instructions.
Checklist
Ask about the intended experience level, location and expected conditions. Clarify which activities are taught and which participants are expected to manage independently.
Request the equipment list, access information and practical arrangements. Ask how the organiser handles weather changes, emergencies and communication, and what preparation is required.
Check land-use permissions, group rules, costs and cancellation terms through current direct information. Match the course to your capabilities and seek individual advice where health or access affects participation.
Questions and answers
Does a course title explain its difficulty?
No. Similar titles can describe very different activities. Ask for a concrete schedule and the demands of the route or tasks. Keep questions unresolved until the organiser gives enough information for an informed decision.
