Use the checklist

Test a low-spend coupon basket

A low checkout target is a planning constraint, not a guarantee. Use your own prices and confirmed terms to see whether a proposed coupon basket fits the money you can spend today.

Checklist

  1. Write each product, quantity and price before adding discounts. Check that every coupon matches the exact item and is valid for the intended purchase.

  2. Calculate immediate discounts first. Keep potential rebates and future store rewards separate, noting limits and any additional steps required to obtain them.

  3. If the estimate exceeds your budget, remove optional items rather than assuming a reward will cover the difference. Compare the finished basket with your original needs list.

Questions and answers

What if the checkout total differs?

Pause and compare the receipt or basket with the plan. An excluded item, quantity rule or expired offer may change the result. You can leave a purchase behind when it no longer fits; a target advertised in training does not establish the total for your shop.
