Build a useful agenda for a footwear innovation event
An innovation event is more useful when you arrive with a question you can investigate. Prepare an agenda that connects demonstrations and conversations to one footwear design or development problem, while keeping supplier claims separate from your observations.
Define a practical question
Choose one issue relevant to your work, such as a construction process, testing approach or design handover. Write what you already know and what evidence would help you understand it better. Avoid bringing confidential drawings or unpublished product information into an open conversation.
Read the agenda by purpose
Group sessions into demonstrations, technical discussions and networking. Record which sessions address your question and leave time to compare notes. Check the current schedule and access conditions directly; an archived agenda does not establish this year’s programme.
Take comparable demonstration notes
Create columns for the problem addressed, method shown, conditions, limitations and follow-up question. Ask what has been demonstrated and what still requires testing. A sample or presentation may illustrate a possibility without proving suitability for your materials or production environment.
Turn contacts into a next step
After the event, summarise what you learned in your own words. Separate a useful idea from a proposal that needs further evaluation. With permission, arrange a specific follow-up conversation and identify the information needed. Keep procurement decisions and technical validation in your organisation’s normal review process.
