Making a library visit plan
A library can offer collections, equipment, events and help finding information. A short visit plan makes it easier to discover which services fit your needs.
Work through the checklist
Write down one task, such as finding a book, using a computer or attending an activity. Check the library's current hours and service information.
Ask about membership eligibility, booking requirements, access support and any applicable charges. Different resources may have different lending or use conditions.
Keep a private list of titles or questions to discuss with staff. Note return dates and how to get help with an unfamiliar resource.
A useful question
Does an event listing establish that places remain available?
No. Check the current booking arrangements with the library, especially for activities with limited space or materials.
