Following an author's releases without losing track
Book announcements can include editions, tours and works in progress. A reader's log helps distinguish them and makes it easier to find the book you actually want.
Work through the checklist
Record the author, title, format and edition. Add the announcement date and identify whether a publication date is confirmed or provisional.
For an appearance, check the venue, time zone, entry arrangements and whether a ticket includes a book. Verify details with the event organiser.
After reading, write a short personal response and note themes you want to discuss. Avoid revealing major plot points in a public recommendation.
A useful question
Is a cover reveal the same as a release?
No. A reveal introduces the presentation of a book. Availability and publication details need their own confirmation.
