Make a needs-first coupon worksheet
A deal workshop can suggest methods, but your shopping plan should begin with products you will use. This worksheet keeps needs, immediate costs and possible later rewards in separate places.
Checklist
List the items, quantities and acceptable alternatives for your next shop. Check what is already at home so that a promotion does not create an unnecessary duplicate.
Add current prices and confirmed immediate discounts. Record each offer's dates, product match and quantity rules, checking the terms directly.
Put rebates or store rewards in another column. Compare the cash needed today with your budget, then review the actual receipt after shopping.
Questions and answers
What should I do with a deal outside my list?
Ask whether it replaces a real planned purchase and whether the full cost still makes sense. A large advertised saving is not automatically useful. You can leave an offer unused when it adds spending or storage without meeting a need.
